Project details The phased redevelopment of the former 93 ha (236 acre) Leyland Daf site in Lancashire, where early efforts were focused on maximising revenue through the refurbishment, subdivision and modernisation of redundant and dilapidated buildings.
Major redevelopments included the £2m conversion of the former Engine Test facility, the development of Enterprise Court, a £5m industrial development on the site (9 units totalling 8,825 sqm (95,000 sq ft)) and the remediation of an 8 ha 20 acre brown field and contaminated site for owner-occupier development.
In addition to the above, a difficult planning consent was obtained for an International Rail Freight terminal, a biological heritage site was successfully relocated, and we were able to manage risk sensitive dynamic and vibro compaction activity across the site.
